It boasts full air-conditioning and a wealth of brand name shops, as well as a fully-featured multi-level Carrefour supermarket and a Robinson’s department store. Despite its Western shops, there are plenty of genuine Thai bargains to be found here. The shops and markets surrounding Jungceylon are equally worth a visit.
The Baan Hong Thong is just far enough away from Patong’s nightlife district that you will not be disturbed, but for people who want to explore clubs and bars while they are on holiday, Patong has everything. On the famous Bangla Road, there are several internationally renowned nightclubs that often feature big name DJs, with plenty of smaller and more intimate bars competing for your business.
Patong has perhaps the best selection of restaurants in Phuket, and virtually every type of cuisine is represented in this cosmopolitan town, including McDonalds and Burger King! You can always find a Tuk Tuk in Patong, although the prices are a little expensive – an excellent alternative is to hire one of Baan Hong Thong’s cars or motorbikes as a cheaper way to get around Patong and the island of Phuket.
